*Marking Station Scribing or Dot Marking Unit
Three-sided machining is possible at the same time including drilling to tapping. These combined features will increase your productivity and efficiency by utilizing just one operator for the entire system.
B3DL Drilling and Cutting with the Integrated Programmable Bandsaw:
With the addition of the CNC controlled integrated mitering sawing option your Bendmak 3BDL becomes a full processing center. The material begins on the infeed conveyor and is fed through the machine and positioned precisely by the CNC controlled gripper arm. The material brought into the drilling machine is clamped securely, first with motional clamps from its sides, then with an overhead clamp. Drilling and tapping operations can be performed from the 3 surfaces of the clamped workpiece at the same time.
Optional Hydraulic Marking. Although standard marking is easily completed with a scribing tool which can be placed in any of the machines 3 spindles according to need. Utilizing a scribing tool allows marking to be performed on all three sides of materials independently. For heavier marking requirements there is another option for in line marking. This additional Dot-Marking system is provided as an option on BENDMAK beam drilling lines yet greatly extends the capability where marking is extensively required. This external marking is done on 1 side of workpiece by hydraulic cylinder pressure. Letters and numbers on the marking drum utilize a stroke method, on workpieces in process. The marking Drum is positioned via servo motor and provides 40 characters on drum.
Measurement: Material lengths fed through machine are measured by optical recognition devices placed on machine.
Infeed Conveyor
The drilling process on the Bendmak 3BDL;
- The Workpiece is positioned.
- Hydraulic clamps are closed and the
workpiece fixed.
- Drilling commences with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd
drilling spindles as necessary.
- After three sides are completed the material upper hydraulic clamps are opened and the material is positioned to the next drilling coordinates and process is repeated. All these operations are repeated as necessary for the whole length of the material.
With the B3DL 1200 CNC control there is one simple user interface systems that controls all the options including the machine and optional devices such as sawing station, external marking unit or loading/unloading systems. Beams used on metal bridges, structure and constructions, roof systems, truck chassis so on are all easily processed on the Bendmak 3BDL.
The B3DL 1200 CNC Machine places the beam with a precision gripper/hydraulic feed arm system. The drilling process is then performed by the 3 independent Drilling Units on 2 different axes. Each drilling unit is controlled on their axis with servo motors driven from the CNC all positioned with accurate ball-screw and linear ball bearings guideways. The drilling units are equipped to use internal or external cooling systems as well as carbide drills. The drill cooling system works with both with compressed air and cutting fluid. The compressed air mixed with the coolant provides a fine mist for tool lubrication so minimum cutting fluid is required in this system.
Marking process can be performed by each spindle with special tool.
Or marking process can be performed with an independent machine of dot marking (OPTIONAL).

3.2- PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE - LANTEK Flex3d SteelWork
Lantek Flex3d SteelWork is a new module in the family of Lantek Flex3d products focused on designing and machining of standard profiles (I, U, L, T and square or round tubes).
Lantek Flex3d SteelWork is a stand alone product that does not require any other additional Lantek software. Thanks to more than 20 years of experience in the structural and sheet metal market, Lantek has been able to create a powerful off-line design and programming system for profile cutting machines in all their different versions includein sawing, drilling,
EASY AND FLEXIBLE DESİGN
Lantek Flex3d SteelWork allows 3D design in an intuitive and simple way, giving a real vision of the result that the user will obtain when, drilling and sawing the profile on the machine. The user can create any type of standard profile in a very flexible way. It is a parametric system, allowing the user to change the values of any of the operations made previously, including the possibility of changing the initial parameters of each profile (enlarge, shorten, etc…). Once the design process is done, the user can simulate in 3D the head movement of the machine displaying each machining operation that is processed along the tube or the profile (profiling, drilling, sawing…). The user can also generate the NC file to send directly to the machine. Lantek Flex3d SteelWork, can be adapted to work with any profile or tube machine. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Lantek Flex3d SteelWork displays the exact profile and simulates in 3D, each process reducing to a minimum the possibility of errors. It offers the user the possibility to create standard sections (I, U, L, T, circular or square tube etc). This eliminates the need for the user to duplicate the entry of information to create a profile. It is only necessary to select one of the standard base sections and insert the length and material. The system is based on database technology, allowing complete management of the different profile products and remnants and getting really fBT access to them.
DSTV, SAT and CAM importers Lantek Flex3d SteelWork can import data generated by 3rd party CAD systems used for designing structures, such as, DSTV, SAT and CAM files. It allows the user to import the different formats including machining operations and make any modification for production. The system converts the DSTV as standard, SAT and CAM files can be converted with optional packaging by Lantek Flex3d which allows the user to apply modifications in a natural and easy way. It also has the possibility to modify, add, and delete any machining operation required for the profile. Lantek Flex3d can easily interpret the various properties of each file such as material thickness, material type and quantity if supported by the imported format.
Tekla NC files can be imported easy to Lantek Flex3D to create CNC programs.
DESIGN OPTIONS Apart from the basic operations of drilling, shearing, marking and sawing, the system has the possibility to create cutting operations from geometry imported from the Lantek 2D module, and imported formats such as DXF. There are also dimensioning features to check the measurements of any geometry or machining operations of the profile. Lantek Flex3d SteelWork offers the user the possibility to apply the following operations: • Automatic and semi-automatic drilling operations along the profile (any flanges and/or web) • Automatic and semi-automatic cutting operations (sawing). • Automatic tools for text and contour marking operations. • Copy machining. The user has the chance to make copies of any machining already made on the profile. Modifications on machining will be applied to any copy of the original. CUTTING PROFILES SIMULATION Lantek Flex3d SteelWork allows you to simulate each profile operation such as, drilling, cutting and the work zone. Lantek Flex3d SteelWork will automatically generate the NC file for each machine from the machined contours on each profile. Lantek Flex3d SteelWork detects any potential collisions automatically, and gives the user the tools to modify them manually. The system will automatically avoid collisions where possible. Where collisions occur, the system will display them on the screen during the simulation phase. The user can also make zoom, movements, rotations and different axis positioning on the profile while viewing the simulation. Also operator can make drawing on Tecla and transfer to Lantek Flex3d SteelWork.
